Our Mission – House of Gomboc

House of Gomboc

Art With Purpose

We make functional art from recycled materials — designed to move with you, crafted to outlast trends, and created to leave the lightest footprint possible.

Less Waste. More Beauty.

House of Gomboc was born from a simple conviction: the things we carry every day should be beautiful, built to last, and kind to the planet. Every towel, pouch, and bag we make begins as discarded plastic bottles and ends as a piece of original art — designed in-house, certified to the highest environmental standards, and made for people who refuse to choose between style and substance.

Recycled materials

Materials

Recycled Bottles.
Original Art.

Our fabrics are crafted from post-consumer recycled polyester, nylon, and cotton — certified under the Global Recycled Standard. Every fibre is tested against hazardous elements and held to the strictest social and environmental benchmarks. The result is a material that feels butter-soft, dries fast, repels sand, and carries a story worth telling.

Design process

Design

Drawn from the Journey.

Every pattern is conceived and illustrated in-house by Alenka Gomboc — drawing from a life lived between London, Rio de Janeiro, Mexico, and Paris. The vibrant palettes and bold compositions don't just reference the world's most extraordinary places. They carry them. Zero templates. No fleeting trends. Just original art that transforms everyday objects into collectible pieces.

Built to last

Longevity

Buy Less.
Keep Longer.

The most sustainable product is one you never have to replace. Recycled polyester, nylon, and cotton are inherently strong, long-lasting fibres. Our towels hold their colour wash after wash, our pouches withstand daily life, and our bags are built for years of use. Fewer replacements means less waste, less consumption, and a calmer relationship with the things you own.

Environmental impact

Impact

Lighter on the Planet.
Heavier on Meaning.

By choosing recycled fibres over virgin materials, we significantly reduce water consumption, energy use, and carbon emissions in every production run. Recycled fabrics divert waste from landfills and oceans, lessen the demand for raw resources, and reduce the need for agricultural land — helping protect natural habitats and biodiversity. It's not perfection. It's progress, with every piece we make.
